Concrete Waterproofing with Crystalline Technology
Presented By:  Stephen Powell with Kryton International Inc.
Born and raised in Texas, Stephen Powell is highly involved with the local construction industry, and
brings an in-depth knowledge of concrete waterproofing to high-risk jobsites around the state. Stephen
has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University. With this, he went on
to become Branch Manager for a Houston based hardscape contractor for 3 years, and specialized in
concrete and concrete overlays. Stephen, now with Kryton, is now the Territory Manager for Texas.
The presentation will briefly describe crystalline technology with the following:
·         An overview of crystalline waterproofing with a review of the independent testing, certifications and approvals it has received
·         How crystalline is used in admixture form, but also for joints, penetrations and tie holes to tank a structure
·         An overview of how it promotes a permanent waterproofing solution with greater design flexibility, improved job site efficiency and cost savings over traditional surface-applied membranes
·         An overview of project scenarios
In the project section, we will discuss various case studies in an array of challenging environments. The presentation will focus on below grade concrete application but the same systems are also used to protect above grade, suspended concrete structures and water containment
